The Developing Roles of the Bank with Small Businesses: Partners for Growth
Wells Fargo Bank is partnering with America’s Small Business Development Center – New Jersey (ASBDC-NJ) at The College of New Jersey to train business owners on the new ways to engage banks in their plans for business growth.

TRENTON, N.J. – On September 27, 2014, Wells Fargo and America’s SBDC will be hosting “Your Business Your Bank: Partners for Growth” at The College of New Jersey Trenton Works at 5 S. Broad St., Trenton.

“Gone are the days where banking is only deposits and checking withdrawals. Services include (but are not limited to) payroll, merchant services, treasury management, training, business real estate finance, equipment and other business lending,” said Moses Santizo, Wells Fargo Community Banking District Manager, AVP.

The three-hour seminar, which will be delivered in Spanish, is designed to walk through available resources business owners can use for recordkeeping, financing and tools they can incorporate in the management of their companies. This event is oriented to Spanish-speaking small business owners seeking to obtain a loan.

Lilian Mauro, America’s SBDC County Program Manager, coordinates the growing programs for English and Spanish speaking businesses and managing the outreach for how to do business in the county …starting up, financing and getting on the county bid lists. Each year, the America’s SBDC-NJ at TCNJ counsels more than 600 established and start-up businesses and trains approximately 2,000 business people with informational seminars and hands-on management workshops training events for more than 30 years.

“This partnership is part of the growing relationships we are developing as the way we are doing business changes. With the internet and the one-stop resource opportunities, banks are becoming more like partners to help support their customers” said Lorraine Allen, Regional Director, America’s SBDC.
